I was having the same problem, I want one for looking at laptop and the other for zooming in on SMD chips when I solder — they never get the distances right. I can then send the scrip to zenni optical or walmart and make a quick test

Yeah, play around with the focal distances. I used a place where the entire glasses (frames, shipping, glass) cost less than $50, so I can experiment. Of course, three years ago, the same company charged under $30, but it's still workable. I actually thought about getting progressives or bifocals, not for distance and reading, but for two of the distances to different monitors at one of my workstations. But that seemed too brutal on my neck, to be craning it one way or the other to see a monitor.
